Key Responsibilities

As the Production Officer for seafood, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the end-to-end processing and packaging of premium seafood products, including shrimp, salmon, and multi-species fish. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving the team to meet daily production targets while ensuring strict adherence to company specifications, food safety protocols, and quality standards. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Team Leadership and Development: Direct and coordinate a self-directed, multi-functional team to achieve daily seafood production targets, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Provide hands-on training and coaching to ensure all team members perform their roles safely, effectively, and in full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety regulations.
• Production Oversight: Supervise all seafood processing activities, including cutting, trimming, glazing, grading, and packaging, to ensure optimal yield, quality, and operational efficiency. Monitor performance metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborative Planning: Work closely with the Planning Department to review and align production plans, guaranteeing that product availability aligns with market demand and operational schedules. Act as a liaison between production and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of product quality and food safety by conducting regular inspections, audits, and compliance checks. Ensure all seafood products meet or exceed Almarai’s stringent quality benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
• Customer Service Excellence: Maximize service to internal customers by ensuring the timely delivery of the correct products, specifications, and quantities. Address any production-related issues proactively to minimize disruptions and maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Fish Processing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a seafood or food processing environment, with a proven track record in production management, team leadership, or quality assurance.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, ISO, and GMP, with the ability to apply these principles in a fast-paced production setting.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional departments.
• A results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment while maintaining a strong focus on detail and compliance.
