Data Center Presales Engineer (Power, Cooling & Infrastructure)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Data Center Presales Engineer (Power, Cooling & Infrastructure) to join our dynamic team at Mannai Trading Company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical bridge between our organization and our valued clients, providing expert guidance and solutions tailored to their data center infrastructure needs. Your primary responsibility will involve assessing client requirements, designing comprehensive power, cooling, and infrastructure solutions, and presenting these proposals to drive sales and foster long-term business relationships. This position demands a deep understanding of data center technologies, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Consultation: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their data center challenges, including power distribution, cooling efficiency, and infrastructure scalability. Conduct detailed site assessments to identify opportunities for optimization and modernization.
• Solution Design & Proposal Development: Develop tailored presales proposals that address client pain points, incorporating cutting-edge technologies in power management, cooling systems, and infrastructure design. Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, regulatory standards, and client-specific objectives.
• Technical Presentations & Demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to stakeholders, including IT managers, facility directors, and executive leadership. Clearly articulate the technical benefits, cost savings, and operational efficiencies of proposed solutions to secure buy-in and drive sales conversions.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work in tandem with sales, engineering, and product development teams to refine solutions, address technical queries, and ensure seamless project execution. Provide post-sales support to facilitate smooth implementation and client satisfaction.
• Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings in data center infrastructure. Leverage this knowledge to position Mannai Trading Company as a thought leader and preferred partner in the region.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all presales activities adhere to relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, technical specifications, and proposal details for future reference and audit purposes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in data center design, power systems, or cooling technologies are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data center infrastructure, with a focus on power, cooling, and related systems. Prior presales or consultative sales experience in a B2B environment is strongly preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of data center power distribution systems (UPS, PDUs, generators), cooling technologies (CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling), and infrastructure components (cabling, racks, containment). Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA-942, ANSI/TIA-568, and ASHRAE guidelines is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach are critical for building trust and long-term relationships.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC), or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) are advantageous.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
