Field Services Engineer

The Field Services Engineer is responsible for all resources and logistics necessary to perform on-site service and maintenance activities for our customers. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling sold or existing products, encompassing a wide range of preventive and corrective maintenance services, managing maintenance facilities, and performing field engineering duties. The role operates within an operational discipline guided by functional standard practices and procedures, with a degree of autonomy and the ability to make judgments under guidance.

• Perform on-site runtime extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities, including on-site processing, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics.
• Leverage previous experience and technical expertise to implement guidelines and strategies.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of key business drivers and use this understanding to perform the role effectively.
• Exercise judgment and propose solutions outside of established parameters, with guidance. Utilize previous experience and on-the-job training to solve simple tasks.
• Access technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems, utilizing multiple internal sources outside of the team for decision-making.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members, with the potential to be a single contributor or talent developer.

This role requires advanced experience, with a knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent relevant experience).
