Field Services Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Services Engineer to join our team. This role is critical to delivering exceptional on-site service and maintenance activities that ensure the longevity, reliability, and optimal performance of our clients’ equipment and systems. The Field Services Engineer will be responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing technical installations, and providing expert diagnostics and repairs directly at customer sites. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Field Services Engineer will perform a wide range of on-site activities to maintain, repair, and refurbish products, including:

• On-Site Maintenance and Repairs: Conducting all types of maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective services, to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
• Technical Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Performing critical diagnostics on generators, turbines, and other complex machinery to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Specialized Services: Executing on-site machining, non-destructive testing, blade repairs, re-winding, and critical welding operations to extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Technical Expertise Development: Deepening technical knowledge within a specific discipline to align with evolving industry standards and company strategies.
• Operational Insight and Collaboration: Understanding key operational factors and how individual contributions integrate with broader team and organizational goals to drive cohesive outcomes.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Leveraging analytical skills and technical experience to propose innovative solutions within defined parameters, while consulting cross-functional resources as needed.
• Team Leadership and Mentorship: Serving as a technical resource and informal advisor to new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. This role may also involve leading small teams, hiring, and talent development.
• Project Coordination: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education:
  • For roles outside the United States: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) in a relevant technical field, along with significant hands-on experience in digital audio workstations or related systems.
  • For roles in the United States: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least four years of relevant experience).
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in on-site maintenance, repair, and diagnostic techniques for industrial equipment, with a strong understanding of operational workflows.
• Analytical and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions while managing multiple priorities.
• Communication and Leadership: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead small teams with confidence.
• Compliance and Safety: Commitment to adhering to industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.
