Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive data architectures that align with Müller's Solutions' long-term strategic objectives. Ensure these architectures support seamless data integration, high availability, and scalability to meet evolving business demands.
• Data Modeling & Design: Create and maintain detailed data models, database schemas, and data flow diagrams that accurately represent business requirements while optimizing performance and usability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, IT teams, and key stakeholders to gather and translate complex data requirements into actionable architectural specifications. Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
• Data Governance & Quality: Establish and enforce robust data governance policies, standards, and best practices to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance. Conduct rigorous data quality assessments and implement solutions to address data cleansing, accuracy, and consistency challenges.
• Integration & Performance Optimization: Oversee end-to-end data integration initiatives, ensuring seamless interoperability between disparate systems and applications. Collaborate with IT teams to enhance database performance, optimize storage solutions, and implement efficient data retrieval mechanisms.
• Technology Innovation: Stay at the forefront of industry advancements by evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in data architecture. Recommend and implement innovative solutions that enhance scalability, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
• Mentorship & Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior data professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
• Industry Engagement: Maintain a deep understanding of current trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in data architecture and management. Actively participate in industry forums, conferences, and professional networks to drive thought leadership and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-level data solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of data modeling, database design, and schema development. Proficiency in SQL and experience with leading database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL. Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes is essential.
• Governance & Security: In-depth understanding of data governance frameworks, data security principles, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Ability to design and enforce policies that mitigate risks and ensure data protection.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical mindset with a strong aptitude for solving complex data challenges. Ability to assess technical and business requirements, identify gaps, and propose effective solutions.
• Communication & Collaboration: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
