Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Group Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee pharmaceutical procurement, supplier management, and inventory optimization across our extensive pharmacy network and medical complex pharmacies. Your strategic leadership will be instrumental in driving profitability, enhancing procurement efficiency, and ensuring seamless product availability to meet the demands of our growing healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Procurement Leadership: Develop and implement robust procurement strategies that align with organizational growth objectives, ensuring optimal cost efficiency and profitability while maintaining high service standards.
• Supplier Management & Negotiations: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers, leading negotiations on pricing, rebates, contracts, and payment terms to secure the most favorable commercial agreements.
• Inventory Optimization: Oversee inventory management processes to minimize expiry risks, reduce waste, and enhance stock turnover, ensuring high product availability across all pharmacy locations.
• Category Management: Lead category management initiatives to maximize sales performance and profit margins, leveraging data-driven insights to inform procurement decisions.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyze supplier and product performance, preparing detailed procurement reports, KPIs, and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with medical, finance, operations, and marketing teams to align procurement activities with broader organizational goals, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal policies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations, as well as internal procurement policies and quality standards.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is mandatory. An MBA in Finance, Supply Chain, or Operations is highly preferred.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years in pharmaceutical procurement, with a proven track record in pharmacy chains or healthcare organizations.
• Supplier Network: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships within Saudi Arabia’s pharmaceutical industry.
• Negotiation & Cost Optimization: Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of delivering significant cost savings and margin improvements.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, and proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and procurement platforms.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical complexes or specialty clinics, along with a strong background in category management and commercial performance optimization.

• Supplier Performance & Compliance: Maintaining strong supplier performance and adherence to contractual and regulatory standards.
