Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Program Manager – Airports to lead and oversee the governance, execution, and delivery of large-scale airport programs and transitions. This pivotal role will be responsible for establishing and managing the Program Management Office (PMO), ensuring alignment with DXC standards while meeting client requirements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing complex portfolios comprising multiple programs and PMOs, with a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

The Program Manager – Airports will play a critical role in defining and maintaining the governance framework for airport programs, ensuring adherence to DXC’s project management standards and client-specific requirements. The position requires a proactive approach to coordinating all PMO activities, including:

• Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce DXC’s project management processes, including scope definition, scheduling, resource planning, risk management, cost and budget tracking, change management, and quality assurance. Ensure compliance with established policies and standards throughout the program lifecycle.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including clients, program executives, and regulatory bodies. Orchestrate program cadence by scheduling regular stakeholder meetings and ensuring alignment with the Communication Management Plan.
• Project Oversight: Oversee all aspects of project planning, requirements gathering, scheduling, communications, issue resolution, financial reporting, and change management. Implement and maintain processes to ensure project documentation, reports, and artifacts are accurate, complete, and readily accessible.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect, consolidate, and analyze program and project data to support informed decision-making. Provide guidance to program and project managers on best practices in project methodologies, disciplines, and approaches, acting as the primary point of contact for PMO-related queries.
• Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of quality assurance and risk management processes and policies. Influence project managers to adhere to DXC’s project management standards and processes.
• Team Leadership: Direct and manage the PMO team, which may include Project Control Analysts, Financial Project Control Analysts, and Schedulers, whether onshore or offshore. Ensure timely delivery of program status, financial, and schedule reports.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to this role, including:

• Education and Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience leading PMOs on large-scale, complex construction or ICT programs with multiple projects and managers. Demonstrated success in managing commercial governance frameworks to deliver contracted outcomes.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to manage scope changes, delays, and contract variations effectively. Proficiency in PMBOK project management methodologies or equivalent frameworks.
• Communication and Leadership: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to executive audiences. A proven track record in problem-solving, decision-making, and sound judgment, coupled with strong leadership capabilities.
• Executive Presence: Highly developed executive presence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, facilitate productive interactions, and lead teams through collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with project management tools and software, as well as a deep understanding of quality management and risk management principles.
