We are seeking a seasoned and highly qualified Lifting Operations Manager, certified by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA), to oversee and lead all lifting activities within our organization. • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field, providing a strong technical foundation for managing lifting operations.
• LEEA Certifications: Must hold one or more of the following prestigious LEEA qualifications:
  • LEEA Appointed Person for Lifting Operations
  • LEEA Mobile Cranes Diploma
  • LOLER Competent Person
  • LOLER Lift Planning
  • LEEA Accredited – Lift Director & Critical Lift Planning
  • LEEA Lifting Accessories Diploma
• Additional Certification: Certified Rigger Level 1 from a recognized and reputable institution, ensuring expertise in rigging operations and load handling.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in lifting operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. This experience must include work in critical and challenging environments where precision, safety, and efficiency are paramount.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international lifting standards and regulations, including LOLER, BS7121, ASME B30, ANSI/ASSE A10, and ISO 4309:2017, ensuring full compliance in all operations.

Core Responsibilities & Leadership Duties

The Lifting Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the organization’s lifting management strategy. Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Establish, implement, and maintain a robust Lifting Management System that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Develop comprehensive lifting procedures, policies, and standard operating guidelines to ensure consistency and safety across all operations.
• Planning & Execution: Prepare, review, and approve all types of lifting plans, including critical lift plans, in accordance with BS7121 standards. Evaluate load characteristics, equipment capabilities, ground bearing pressures, and environmental factors to ensure safe and efficient execution.
• Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement robust control measures to mitigate hazards. Monitor lifting operations in real-time to address potential risks and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of lifting professionals, including crane operators, riggers, slingers, and signalers. Provide technical guidance on the selection, inspection, and use of lifting equipment and accessories to optimize performance and safety.
• Compliance & Maintenance: Ensure all lifting equipment and gear are inspected, certified, and maintained in strict accordance with legal and industry standards. Oversee the maintenance of accurate records for lifting activities, inspections, equipment certifications, and personnel training.
• Training & Continuous Improvement: Deliver specialized training programs to enhance the skills of lifting personnel, focusing on safe lifting practices, load stability, and emergency response procedures. Investigate lifting incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align lifting operations with project timelines and objectives. Liaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the availability of suitable and well-maintained lifting resources.
• Industry Engagement: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the lifting industry. Proactively integrate innovative solutions and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
