The Role

As the Director of Business Operations, you will be at the helm of HUMAIN’s operating model and process backbone. This pivotal position involves establishing and scaling the standards, governance structures, and operational cadence that ensure the company operates with precision, accountability, and scalability. Your mandate is to transform HUMAIN into an increasingly AI-driven organization, where processes are not only optimized but also intelligently automated to drive unparalleled efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic and operational initiatives, including:

• Operating Model & Decision Rights: Develop and own the company-wide interaction model, RACI matrix, and decision rights framework to clarify roles, responsibilities, and accountability across all functions.
• Governance & Operating Cadence: Design and implement robust governance structures and an operating rhythm that ensures alignment, transparency, and accountability at every level of the organization.
• Process Backbone: Establish and maintain a comprehensive process playbook, taxonomy, standards, and an enterprise-wide process catalogue to serve as the foundation for consistent and scalable operations.
• AI-Native Operations: Redesign core operational processes to leverage AI agents, driving step-change improvements in speed, accuracy, and quality while setting a new benchmark for operational excellence.
• Cross-Functional Adoption: Champion the adoption of standardized processes and AI-native methodologies across all departments, ensuring seamless integration and continuous improvement.
• Hands-On Leadership: Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale operational initiatives, gradually building and leading a high-performing team to sustain long-term growth.

Success Metrics

Your impact will be measured by tangible outcomes at key milestones:

• First 90 Days: Deliver a refined operating model with clear decision rights, widely understood and embraced by leadership, alongside a reliable and efficient operating cadence.
• 6–12 Months: Achieve consistent adoption of standards and processes, establish a self-sustaining operating rhythm, and demonstrate measurable gains from AI-native operational enhancements.

Your Background & Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• 10+ Years of Experience: A proven track record in operations or a COO-office capacity within a scaling company, with a strong preference for backgrounds in technology, AI, or digital transformation.
• Operating Model Expertise: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing operating models and process frameworks at scale, with a proven ability to drive real adoption and tangible results.
• Systems & Governance Proficiency: Deep expertise in systems thinking, governance design, and process architecture, enabling you to create robust and scalable operational structures.
• AI Fluency: A genuine understanding of AI and its applications, with a track record of automating workflows to deliver measurable impact. Experience deploying AI agents in production operations is highly desirable.
• Stakeholder Orchestration: Exceptional ability to influence and drive outcomes across functions, even without direct authority, coupled with hands-on delivery experience.
• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Arabic considered advantageous.
