Key Responsibilities

As the Assistant Manager - Cybersecurity Threat Management, you will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the cybersecurity threat management program, overseeing threat intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination to ensure timely and actionable insights.
• Incident Oversight: Direct incident detection and response activities, ensuring rapid identification, containment, and resolution of security incidents to minimize organizational risk.
• Threat Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement advanced threat hunting and mitigation strategies tailored to the organization’s evolving risk landscape and business objectives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance threat intelligence sharing, coordination, and collective defense mechanisms.
• Team Development: Manage and mentor the cybersecurity threat management team, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and knowledge sharing to strengthen the team’s capabilities.
• Reporting and Governance: Prepare and present comprehensive threat intelligence reports and risk assessments to senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing clear insights into potential threats and mitigation strategies.
• Industry Awareness: Stay ahead of emerging threats, tactics, and technologies by continuously monitoring the cybersecurity landscape and integrating innovative solutions into threat management processes.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to relevant cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining the organization’s compliance posture and reducing exposure to legal and operational risks.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of six years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity threat management, incident response, or a closely related discipline, with a proven track record of leadership in security operations.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of threat intelligence frameworks, security operations, incident response methodologies, and advanced threat detection tools and technologies.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth among team members.
• Analytical and Communication Abilities: Exceptional analytical skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication capabilities to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or other industry-recognized credentials.
