Director - Operational Readiness

About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Operational Readiness to spearhead the strategic planning and execution of operational launch initiatives across its dynamic portfolio of projects. This critical leadership position will be responsible for ensuring that all operational components are meticulously prepared, facilities are fully operational and compliant, and teams are thoroughly trained to deliver outstanding guest experiences. The Director will serve as the linchpin between construction completion and full operational deployment, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders to guarantee a seamless transition and sustained success from day one.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Operational Readiness will play a pivotal role in aligning operational readiness with project milestones and corporate objectives. Core responsibilities include:

• Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement robust operational readiness plans that are fully synchronized with project timelines, ensuring all systems, processes, and infrastructure are prepared for launch.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and coordinate efforts across multiple departments—including project management, development, operations, and external partners—to address operational requirements comprehensively and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Risk Management and Mitigation: Conduct thorough assessments of operational risks and design proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure flawless project openings.
• Team Development and Training: Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive training programs to equip operational teams with the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies required for peak performance and exceptional service delivery.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and readiness metrics to monitor progress, identify gaps, and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of operational excellence by driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, elevate guest satisfaction, and optimize post-launch performance.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of eight years of progressive leadership experience in operational readiness, project management, or operations leadership, with a proven track record in entertainment, hospitality, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven Expertise: Demonstrated success in leading operational launch initiatives and managing cross-functional teams in high-stakes environments.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail, combined with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Training and Development: Hands-on experience designing and delivering comprehensive training programs tailored to operational readiness and service excellence.
• Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Cultural Insight: Familiarity with the Saudi Arabian market and cultural norms is advantageous, enabling effective engagement with local stakeholders and alignment with regional business practices.
