Position Overview

alfanar Electric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer Solutions Architect for Data Center to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge data center solutions that align with alfanar Group’s strategic objectives. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving demands of our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture Design: Develop comprehensive data center architectures, including hardware, software, networking, and security components, to support mission-critical applications and services.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the team.
• Vendor and Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies, vendor solutions, and industry best practices to recommend optimal data center infrastructure that balances performance, cost, and reliability.
• Project Execution: Lead the planning, design, and implementation of data center projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while mitigating risks and resolving technical challenges.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure all data center solutions comply with industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, ANSI/BICSI 002) and regulatory requirements, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and data protection.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with IT teams, business units, and external partners to align data center strategies with organizational goals, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize data center performance, capacity, and efficiency to support scalability and future growth.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, VMware VCP) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in data center design, implementation, and management, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role. Experience in the electrical or energy sector is a strong advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in data center infrastructure, including power distribution systems, cooling solutions, networking (LAN/WAN), storage, virtualization, and cloud integration.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr), Data Center Design Professional (DCDP), or similar credentials are preferred.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Leadership qualities and a proactive approach to innovation are essential.
