Health Club Reception

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Health Club Reception professional to join our team at Le Méridien in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience in our fitness and recreation facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, assisting guests with their needs, and upholding the highest standards of safety and service excellence. Key Responsibilities

As a Health Club Receptionist, your duties will include:

• Facility Maintenance: Regularly wipe down fitness center machines, remove towels, trash, and debris from the fitness and recreation areas, and maintain an adequate supply of cups and water in designated areas.
• Cleanliness and Hygiene: Clean restrooms, showers, and other high-traffic areas to ensure a sanitary and pleasant environment for all guests.
• Guest Services: Distribute lockers and towels to guests, provide information about available facilities and activities, and promote a fun, relaxing, and safe atmosphere in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks of supplies, materials, and equipment, and promptly report any low-stock items to management to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Safety and Emergency Response: Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive, report accidents and unsafe conditions to management, and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Guest Engagement: Welcome and acknowledge all guests professionally, anticipate and address their service needs, and express genuine appreciation for their patronage. Assist individuals with disabilities and ensure their comfort and accessibility.
• Communication and Professionalism: Maintain clear and professional communication with guests and colleagues, answer telephones with appropriate etiquette, and develop positive working relationships within the team.
• Compliance and Standards: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality assurance expectations. Maintain a clean and professional uniform, protect company assets, and ensure the confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Physical Requirements: Perform job duties that may include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, moving or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and navigating sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Ability to reach overhead, below the knees, and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping motions is essential.
• Additional Duties: Fulfill other reasonable job responsibilities as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the health club and recreation facilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required. Additional certifications or training may be required by local and state agencies.
• Experience: No prior related work experience is necessary, though a background in customer service, hospitality, or fitness is advantageous.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Personal Attributes: A passion for guest service, a positive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment are essential.
