Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will play a critical role in the financial health of our company by executing a wide range of accounting functions. Your primary duties will include:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Develop and maintain financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Tax Management: Compute taxes owed, prepare and file tax returns, and ensure timely payment of liabilities. Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to minimize tax exposure and optimize financial outcomes.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, analyze, and manage budgets to support strategic decision-making. Prepare financial forecasts to anticipate future performance and align resources accordingly.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and collections from clients. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
• Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll activities, including tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and timely disbursement of salaries. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
• Internal Controls and Audits: Evaluate internal controls to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and safeguard company assets. Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and recommendations for improvement.
• Financial Analysis and Strategy: Interpret financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Invoicing and Revenue Management: Create and issue invoices to customers, verifying accuracy in pricing, quantities, and taxes. Track accounts receivable, send payment reminders, and follow up on overdue payments to optimize cash flow.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of three years of professional accounting experience, with a proven track record of success in financial management and reporting.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret and analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey financial information to diverse audiences. Ability to resolve issues and provide clear, concise explanations of complex financial concepts.
• Organizational Abilities: Proven capability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain organized financial records. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing business needs.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices.
