Project Overview

This is a transformative opportunity to be part of a landmark mixed-use development in Saudi Arabia, encompassing world-class sports facilities, entertainment venues, arts and culture spaces, and all associated infrastructure. As a key delivery partner, Mace is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of this visionary project, and we are seeking experienced professionals to lead integrated teams through every stage of delivery.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager for Power Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the power delivery strategy for this large-scale development. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing and optimizing power infrastructure assets and network deployment to meet the project’s evolving needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Assessment: Evaluate proposed power infrastructure assets and network deployment strategies to ensure they align with development requirements, including capacity, location, and scheduling needs.
• Construction Sequencing and Optimization: Provide expert guidance on the sequencing of construction activities and collaborate closely with development teams to optimize the implementation of power-related assets and networks. This includes substations, transmission lines, distribution networks, transformers, and cabling routing.
• Procurement Planning: Contribute to procurement strategies by evaluating and testing different packaging and delivery options to best achieve project and development objectives.
• Budget and Cost Management: Support budget planning and cost estimation by offering technical and strategic insights during the early stages of the project.
• Project Timeline Insights: Provide valuable input into project timelines and proactively identify programmatic gaps or schedule risks to ensure timely delivery.
• Risk Management: Recognize potential risks related to project delivery and execution, and develop robust mitigation strategies to safeguard successful outcomes.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive Stage Gate documentation for power (dry utility) projects, including budget and funding requirements, development timelines and phasing, design and engineering management strategies, risk and opportunity assessments, and procurement strategies for consultants and contractors.

Your Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, from an accredited college or university.
• At least 15 years of relevant professional experience in the design, delivery, and integration of power infrastructure systems, including substations, overhead and underground transmission lines, distribution networks, and grid connections.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and other international standard forms of agreement, particularly in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) or Design and Build (D&B) contexts.
• Proven expertise in planning and sequencing utility infrastructure, with a strong background in mixed-use or large-scale urban developments.
