Project Overview

As a key delivery partner, Mace is seeking high-calibre, experienced professionals to lead integrated teams through every phase of this groundbreaking initiative. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the success of this landmark endeavour.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute annual business plan objectives while ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Lead geotechnical design resources and oversee the delivery of geotechnical design services across multiple projects.
• Performance Management: Present management review data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project and functional leadership teams, ensuring transparency and accountability in all geotechnical deliverables.
• Business Development & Capability: Support business development initiatives, including work-winning strategies, and contribute to the delivery of training and capability development programmes to enhance team performance and technical excellence.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict compliance with management systems, project governance frameworks, and clearly defined roles and responsibilities to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Technical Excellence: Act as the primary focal point for geotechnical design matters, driving continuous improvement in delivery plans, technical standards, tools, and processes to elevate project outcomes.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Influence procurement strategies, contractual and legal matters, and foster strong stakeholder relationships to promote technical excellence and alignment with project goals.
• Sustainability Leadership: Support net zero carbon objectives by proactively identifying, managing, and reducing carbon emissions, leveraging organizational knowledge and best practices to drive sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification).
• Significant hands-on experience leading geotechnical design teams and delivering major infrastructure or building projects, with a proven track record of success in high-stakes environments.
