ACCOUNTANT (SAUDI NATIONALS ONLY)

Position Overview

IMAR OVERSEAS SAUDI CO. W.L.L. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, classified, and posted. Identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, verifying payments, and managing vendor and customer relationships. Ensure timely collection of receivables and settlement of payables to optimize cash flow.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Zakat, and other statutory obligations. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts. Provide insights and recommendations to support cost control and resource allocation strategies.
• Internal Controls & Audits: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations to support management in making informed business decisions.
• System & Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Recommend and implement technological solutions to streamline financial operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Saudi GAAP, and local tax regulations, including VAT and Zakat.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is required.
