Back End Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Back End Developer to join our dynamic team at Datamatics Technologies in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and application integration processes that power our cutting-edge solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Server-Side Development: Design, implement, and optimize server-side applications, APIs, and microservices to support business requirements and user needs.
• Database Management: Develop and maintain efficient, secure, and scalable database architectures, including schema design, query optimization, and data migration strategies.
• API Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers and third-party vendors to integrate RESTful or GraphQL APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across systems.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring applications meet high availability, reliability, and responsiveness standards.
• Security Implementation: Implement robust security measures, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance with industry standards to protect sensitive data.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to align technical solutions with business objectives, while mentoring junior team members to foster professional growth.
• Testing & Debugging: Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to validate functionality, and troubleshoot issues to maintain system integrity.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including code comments, API specifications, and system architecture diagrams to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in back-end programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or .NET, along with frameworks like Spring, Django, Express, or ASP.NET Core.
• Database Expertise: Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), including query optimization and indexing strategies.
• API Development: Proven experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs, with a deep understanding of HTTP protocols and web services.
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
• Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in back-end development.
