Network Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our organization’s network infrastructure across multiple sites, including headquarters, warehouses, construction project locations, and data centers. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless, secure, and high-performance connectivity to support our ongoing digital transformation initiatives and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing our enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Network Design and Implementation: Develop, deploy, and maintain robust LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructures across 13+ sites, ensuring optimal performance and connectivity for all locations.
• Firewall and Security Management: Configure, manage, and secure multi-vendor firewall environments, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Meraki, and pfSense, to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Network Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize advanced monitoring tools such as Zabbix to proactively identify and resolve network performance issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.
• ISP and Connectivity Management: Oversee relationships with leading ISPs, including Mobily, STC, Zain, and ITC, to ensure reliable connectivity and troubleshoot any service disruptions.
• Network Access Control (NAC): Implement and maintain NAC solutions to enforce centralized device authentication and policy compliance across the organization.
• Network Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and inventories, while ensuring adherence to the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls and other regulatory requirements.
• Vendor and Service Provider Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment, resolve technical issues, and support procurement processes.
• Incident and Service Request Support: Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for network-related incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Construction Site Connectivity: Facilitate site connectivity for construction projects, including the deployment of 5G SIM solutions to support on-site operations.
• Data Center and Cloud Initiatives: Contribute to data center modernization efforts and cloud connectivity projects to enhance scalability, performance, and business agility.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess the following educational background, certifications, and professional experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering, with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Meraki network equipment, along with experience in SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity solutions.
• Certifications:
  • Required: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
  • Preferred: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) and Fortinet NSE certification.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in network design and architecture, firewall configuration and management, network troubleshooting and diagnostics, technical documentation, vendor management, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
