Key Responsibilities

The Patient Care Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the patient experience from the initial point of contact through to post-treatment follow-up. Core responsibilities include:

• Patient Journey Management: Oversee the entire patient pathway, including scheduling consultations, diagnostic tests, procedures, and specialist referrals, ensuring timely and accurate coordination.
• Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently manage patient appointments, ensuring minimal wait times and maximizing the utilization of healthcare resources.
• Patient Advocacy: Act as the primary liaison between patients and the healthcare team, addressing inquiries, concerns, and needs with professionalism and empathy to ensure a positive experience.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless communication, streamline care processes, and support clinical decision-making.
• Patient Education: Provide clear and comprehensive guidance to patients regarding treatment plans, medical procedures, prescribed medications, and post-care instructions to promote adherence and recovery.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient records, ensuring all documentation adheres to regulatory standards, patient confidentiality protocols, and organizational policies.
• Quality Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and service delivery standards.
• Issue Resolution: Address patient concerns promptly and effectively, escalating issues when necessary to ensure resolution and maintain high levels of patient trust and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a closely related healthcare discipline is required.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in patient care coordination, patient relations, medical administration, or a comparable healthcare role is essential. Prior experience within hospital, medical center, or specialized clinic settings is highly advantageous.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking capabilities to manage high-volume workflows and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platforms is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is mandatory to facilitate clear communication across all patient interactions and documentation.
