General Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven General Manager to lead the establishment and sustainable growth of LeasingCo, Golf Saudi’s dedicated golf-equipment leasing business. This pivotal role requires a seasoned leader who will oversee the entire business lifecycle—from a lean Day-1 setup to a mature, high-performing operation. The General Manager will be responsible for delivering measurable commercial outcomes, preserving asset value, and maintaining stakeholder confidence, all while methodically building the organization. Initially, the role will leverage Golf Saudi’s shared services, transitioning key functions in-house as the business scales. This position demands strong leadership, strategic foresight, and a hands-on approach to organizational development, client engagement, and stakeholder management, rather than deep technical expertise in a single functional area.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager will play a central role in shaping the future of LeasingCo by executing the following responsibilities:

• Business Establishment & Growth: Stand up the legal entity and operating model, carefully sequencing the build from launch to steady state based on predefined activation triggers to avoid premature over-hiring.
• Financial & Operational Leadership: Own the LeasingCo Profit & Loss (P&L) statement and organization-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with Golf Saudi HoldCo reporting standards. Cascade accountability to function directors and their teams to drive performance.
• Division Leadership: Lead the three core divisions—Finance, Commercial, and Operations—alongside the Administration group during its transition from Golf Saudi shared services to an in-house function.
• Pilot Program Execution: Drive the pilot phase with internal Golf Saudi courses, such as Riyadh and Dammam Golf Clubs, through purchase-and-leaseback arrangements, followed by the opening and conversion of the external-course pipeline.
• Strategic Partnerships & Financing: Secure and manage relationships with equity or financing partners, as well as preferred Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or distributor partners. Lead joint-venture structuring and governance to support business objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manage interaction touchpoints with other Golf Saudi operating companies—including management, advisory, and construction teams—to originate demand across the entire course lifecycle.
• Commercial Strategy & Pricing: Set the commercial direction in partnership with the Finance team, focusing on pricing strategy, packaging, and target margins to protect unit economics and residual asset value.
• Team Development & Compliance: Build and motivate a high-performing leadership team while ensuring compliance, governance, and regulatory alignment within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) market.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of educational background, professional experience, and leadership competencies tailored to the demands of this position:

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification, such as an MBA, is preferred.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of eight years of progressive senior general-management experience, with a proven track record in P&L leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in standing up or scaling a business unit, preferably within leasing, asset finance, equipment operations, or a comparable capital-intensive services business.

Technical Skills

• Strong commercial judgment across pricing, revenue management, and capital financing.
• Expertise in organizational design, partner management, and joint-venture structuring.
• Working knowledge of the KSA market, including compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with the golf industry or agronomy is advantageous but not mandatory.
