Project Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, complemented by a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Fit-Out projects. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless execution of site-based activities, with a strong emphasis on technical coordination, model review, and construction documentation. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential, as the role involves reviewing and coordinating project models and drawings to maintain alignment with design intent and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision and Coordination: Oversee day-to-day site operations for fit-out works, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols. Act as the primary point of contact for on-site activities, resolving issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Technical Review and Coordination: Lead the review and coordination of Revit models, shop drawings, and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with design teams to resolve discrepancies and implement design changes efficiently.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication and coordination among consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Serve as a liaison to align expectations, address concerns, and ensure all parties are informed of project developments.
• Quality and Compliance Management: Monitor site progress, enforce adherence to approved drawings and specifications, and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations. Conduct regular inspections to verify workmanship and material quality.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during construction, proposing practical solutions to maintain project momentum. Coordinate with design teams to implement necessary adjustments without compromising project objectives.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed progress reports, track project milestones, and document changes to drawings or specifications. Participate in coordination meetings to provide updates, address issues, and align stakeholders on project goals.
• Project Handover Support: Contribute to the final stages of project delivery, ensuring all fit-out works are completed to the highest standards. Assist in the preparation for project handover, including the compilation of as-built drawings and final inspections.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of professional experience in Fit-Out projects, with a proven track record in construction coordination and site management.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit, including model review and coordination. Strong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
• Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of fit-out construction methods, finishing works, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes. Ability to interpret construction drawings and coordinate complex design elements.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated leadership in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Work Arrangement: Commitment to a full-time, on-site role to ensure consistent oversight and engagement with project activities.
