Junior Accountant (Digital Currency)

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Asset Accounting: Assist in the accurate recording, tracking, and reconciliation of digital currency transactions, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other blockchain-based assets. Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements specific to digital currencies.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, with a specialized focus on digital asset holdings and transactions. Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Transaction Monitoring: Monitor and verify digital currency transactions to detect discrepancies, errors, or potential fraud. Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks associated with digital currencies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving regulations and industry best practices related to digital currencies and blockchain technology. Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of digital currencies, blockchain technology, and cryptographic principles. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and blockchain analytics platforms (e.g., Chainalysis, CipherTrace) is highly desirable.
