Position Overview

Unique Closets is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Telematics / IoT Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge telematics and IoT solutions that enhance our operational efficiency, drive innovation, and deliver exceptional value to our clients. Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Development: Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of telematics and IoT systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components seamlessly.
• Data Management and Analytics: Develop and optimize data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze real-time and historical data from IoT devices. Utilize advanced analytics tools and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights and improve system performance.
• Cloud Integration and Deployment: Design and deploy IoT solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to enable remote monitoring, control, and scalability. Ensure seamless integration with existing enterprise systems and third-party applications.
• Prototyping and Testing: Create functional prototypes of IoT devices and telematics systems, conducting rigorous testing to validate performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Iterate based on feedback and technical requirements.
• Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect IoT devices, data transmissions, and cloud infrastructure. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices for data privacy and cybersecurity.
• Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to align technical solutions with business objectives. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in telematics and IoT systems, optimizing performance to meet evolving business needs. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in IoT, embedded systems, or cloud computing are a plus.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java.
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi), and IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT) and IoT frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark, TensorFlow) and database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with wireless communication technologies (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular networks) and GPS/GNSS systems.
• Soft Skills:
