Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Engineer, your core responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of project management and technical leadership duties, including:

• Project Leadership: Spearhead the end-to-end management of smart infrastructure projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies to final commissioning and handover, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical guidance on smart building technologies, including IoT (Internet of Things), BMS (Building Management Systems), energy management solutions, lighting controls, and occupancy analytics, to deliver optimal performance and ROI.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, contractors, and vendors, fostering strong relationships to align project objectives with stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Drive the implementation of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions, such as renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, and LEED/WELL certification strategies, to support environmental goals and client sustainability initiatives.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with local and international safety, security, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Team Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and post-project evaluations, to ensure transparency and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Automation, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP, BMS Specialist) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in smart infrastructure, building automation, or related fields, with at least 3-5 years in a senior project engineering or management role.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of smart building technologies, BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Johnson Controls), IoT devices, energy management systems, and industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360).
• Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and manage client relationships with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address technical challenges and optimize project outcomes efficiently.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
