Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity Management (BCM) Specialist with a robust background in IT and Disaster Recovery (DR) to strengthen and refine our BCM and IT resilience frameworks. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the organization’s operational integrity by coordinating disaster recovery initiatives, supporting BCM lifecycle processes, and fostering collaboration between IT, Information Security, and business stakeholders. Your responsibilities will encompass disaster recovery planning and testing, business impact analysis, risk assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Acting as a liaison between technical teams and business units, you will ensure that resilience requirements are not only implemented but also consistently maintained and optimized.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Disaster Recovery (DR) frameworks to ensure robust operational resilience.
- Coordinate and facilitate disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution in partnership with IT and technology teams to validate recovery capabilities and minimize downtime.
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments across business and IT functions to identify critical processes, dependencies, and potential vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and track BCM and DR action plans, ensuring timely closure and providing management with transparent progress updates and reporting.
- Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of comprehensive BCP and DR documentation, including recovery strategies, procedures, and incident response protocols.
- Participate in BCM and DR tests, exercises, and simulations, and lead post-test reviews to identify gaps, implement improvements, and enhance overall resilience.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure BCM and DR requirements are clearly communicated, understood, and integrated into daily operations.
- Support regulatory, audit, and internal assessment requirements related to BCM, DR, and operational resilience, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational policies.
- Prepare detailed BCM and DR reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for executive management and committee reporting to drive data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of four years of hands-on experience in Business Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery, or IT Risk/Resilience roles, with a proven track record in designing and executing resilience strategies.
- In-depth understanding of disaster recovery technologies, IT infrastructure components, and application recovery methodologies to ensure effective incident response and system restoration.
- Strong knowledge of the BCM lifecycle, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), risk assessment, strategy development, plan implementation, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as SAMA and other relevant standards governing BCM, DR, and operational resilience to ensure compliance and mitigate regulatory risks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to create detailed reports, presentations, and analytical dashboards.
- Exceptional ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is considered a significant advantage in facilitating cross-functional communication and stakeholder engagement.
- This position is not open to fresh graduates and requires demonstrated, practical experience in BCM and IT/DR domains.
