Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine & Rheumatology Specialist to join our dynamic team at Savan Medical Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of our patients by providing comprehensive medical care for adults with general internal medicine conditions and rheumatologic disorders. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through outpatient and inpatient consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and the development of individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Conduct thorough evaluations, diagnose, and manage adult patients presenting with a wide range of internal medicine conditions and rheumatologic disorders. This includes reviewing diagnostic tests, imaging results, and laboratory findings to inform treatment decisions.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, with a focus on chronic disease management and preventive care.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health staff, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care. Participate in case discussions and contribute to clinical decision-making processes.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with clinical governance standards. Ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols to uphold the highest standards of care.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive health measures to empower them in their healthcare journey.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of clinical quality and safety standards through participation in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Certification: Board certification or equivalent specialization in Internal Medicine is required. Additional training or certification in Rheumatology is highly preferred. A valid medical license (or eligibility for licensing) to practice in Saudi Arabia is essential.
• Clinical Expertise: Strong foundation in general internal medicine with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of medical conditions. Competence in cardiology-related assessments and coordination of care for patients with cardiovascular risk factors or comorbidities is desirable. Familiarity with critical care principles is beneficial for collaboration in acute and high-dependency care settings.
• Team Collaboration: Proven experience working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated and patient-centered care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Professional Attributes: Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, continuous education, and adherence to clinical governance and quality standards. Cultural sensitivity and the ability to provide compassionate care in a diverse patient population are essential.
