Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Projects Director to spearhead the strategic execution of all company projects. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring that every project is delivered in strict alignment with approved plans, timelines, budgets, quality benchmarks, safety protocols, and contractual obligations. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, foster cross-departmental collaboration, and uphold the highest standards of project management to meet and exceed business objectives and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

The Projects Director will play a central role in the organization, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Project Leadership: Lead and manage all company projects, ensuring execution is fully aligned with business goals, approved plans, and operational objectives. You will provide clear direction and oversight to project teams while maintaining accountability for project outcomes.
• Plan Approval and Oversight: Review, approve, and refine project execution plans, timelines, resource allocations, and delivery schedules to ensure feasibility and efficiency.
• Team Leadership and Performance Management: Directly supervise project managers, setting performance expectations, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to ensure targets are met consistently.
• On-Site Execution and Quality Assurance: Oversee on-site operations to ensure strict adherence to project scope, technical specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards. You will champion a culture of excellence in execution and continuous improvement.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and operational requirements, mitigating risks and addressing challenges proactively to safeguard project continuity and stakeholder interests.
• Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, cost controls, and resource utilization to optimize efficiency and financial performance. Implement corrective measures where necessary to maintain fiscal discipline.
• Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments such as Fit-Out and Support. Facilitate seamless collaboration to ensure the timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Documentation and Reporting: Review and approve project progress reports, payment certificates, and related documentation. Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting project status, risks, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
• Process Improvement and Governance: Develop and refine project management processes, methodologies, and governance frameworks to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability across all projects.
• New Project Evaluation: Participate in the assessment of new project opportunities, evaluating execution requirements, feasibility, risks, and resource needs to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in managing and delivering construction, fit-out, or infrastructure projects. A minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or supervisory project management role is essential.
• Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong command of project planning, execution, site management, quality control, safety protocols, and contract administration.
• Financial and Operational Acumen: Proven track record in managing budgets, costs, resources, contractors, and project performance to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
• Leadership and Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership capabilities, strategic decision-making, problem-solving agility, and strong communication skills. The ability to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels is critical.
