Key Responsibilities

• System Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control panels. Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Installation and Upgrades: Install, upgrade, and replace electrical components, fixtures, and systems in accordance with project specifications and safety protocols. Coordinate with engineering teams to execute installations efficiently and within budget.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local regulations, Marriott International’s safety policies, and industry best practices. Conduct risk assessments, implement safety measures, and maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, such as power outages, equipment failures, or safety hazards. Troubleshoot issues under pressure and restore functionality to critical systems with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
• Guest and Staff Support: Provide technical support to hotel staff and guests regarding electrical systems, such as troubleshooting room lighting or addressing power-related concerns. Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver solutions with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all electrical work, including work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance reports. Report any recurring issues or potential hazards to the Engineering Manager for proactive resolution.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including facilities management, housekeeping, and IT, to ensure seamless operations. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on emerging technologies, safety standards, and Marriott’s operational procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or vocational training is essential. Valid electrical license for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Electrician in a hospitality, commercial, or industrial setting. Experience with high-voltage systems, automation, and energy-efficient technologies is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, and local regulations. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and electrical testing equipment.
• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to Marriott’s safety protocols and Saudi labor laws. Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective measures to prevent accidents.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and external contractors.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions. Must be able to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
