The Finesse Technician is responsible for the final inspection and surface correction of painted vehicle bodies after the clearcoat process. This role involves:

• Conducting detailed visual inspections under defined lighting conditions to identify and classify paint defects.
• Performing spot sanding, polishing, and buffing operations to correct minor paint defects while maintaining production throughput and quality.
• Ensuring repaired areas are visually indistinguishable from the original finish and escalating defects beyond repair capability to the team leader or quality department.
• Supporting appearance audits, maintaining accurate records, and participating in shift handovers and production communication.
• Adhering to all safety procedures, using required PPE, and handling polishing materials and chemicals according to safety guidelines.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• A diploma certificate or technical qualification, preferably in automotive paint finish or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in automotive paint finish, finesse, or repair operations, with a mandatory background in clearcoat inspection and correction.
• A basic understanding of paint shop safety and quality standards.
• A strong commitment to continuous improvement and defect-reduction initiatives.
