Senior Manager - Residential Strategy

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic-minded Senior Manager to lead the Residential Strategy function within our organization. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with residential development teams to design data-driven development strategies, evaluate high-potential investment opportunities, and guide critical decision-making processes that shape the future of our residential business unit. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying market gaps, optimizing portfolio diversity, and ensuring alignment with evolving customer needs and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Optimization and Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify gaps and opportunities within the residential development portfolio. Develop and implement strategies to enhance portfolio variety and execution, ensuring alignment with market demand and competitive positioning.
• Strategic Development and Business Modeling: Lead the creation of comprehensive development strategies, including target customer segmentation, product differentiation, and adaptive solutions tailored to diverse user needs. Refine business models by evaluating fee structures, scopes of work, developer selection processes, and high-impact best-use studies to maximize value creation.
• Stakeholder Communication and Representation: Develop and deliver high-impact presentations to senior management, conveying key insights, team performance metrics, and strategic recommendations. Serve as the primary liaison with external stakeholders, including consultants, investment funds, developers, and end-users, fostering collaborative partnerships and driving project success.
• Process Efficiency and Investment Evaluation: Analyze end-to-end residential development processes to uncover optimization opportunities and enhance operational efficiency. Assess and evaluate diverse investment structures, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and risk parameters. Create compelling business cases to support residential development opportunities, providing clear justifications for investment decisions.
• Regulatory and Development Roadmapping: Develop detailed roadmaps that outline requirements, processes, and procedures for real estate development and investment initiatives. Interface with relevant authorities, establish development and investment entities, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks to facilitate seamless project execution.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of strategic acumen, real estate expertise, and strong analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will have:

• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 to 9 years of progressive experience in strategy consulting, real estate investment, or development, with at least 3 years dedicated to consulting. Additional experience in real estate development, investment, or strategy is highly advantageous.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and will be considered a strong asset.
• Technical and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, investment analysis, and due diligence, with the ability to evaluate complex investment structures and assess market viability. Experience in real estate investment analysis, market assessment, and development is essential.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage and engage stakeholders across both public and private sectors, fostering collaboration and driving alignment toward strategic objectives.
• Communication and Presentation: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and external partners.
