Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Safety & Quality Representative, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of critical functions designed to safeguard both personnel and assets while enhancing operational efficiency. Your duties will include:

• Comprehensive Inspections: Conduct thorough safety and quality inspections across ramp operations, terminal facilities, baggage handling systems, and fleet management to ensure adherence to established protocols and regulatory mandates.
• Compliance Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor compliance with SGS policies, industry standards, and governmental regulations to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
• Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment: Proactively identify potential hazards, conduct detailed risk assessments, and report safety concerns to prevent incidents and ensure a secure working environment.
• Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions: Lead the investigation of operational incidents, analyze root causes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures that enhance safety and operational resilience.
• Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor safety and quality performance metrics, compile inspection findings, and generate comprehensive reports to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between operational teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment where safety and quality improvements are collectively pursued and achieved.

Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of academic credentials and practical experience that demonstrates your commitment to safety and quality excellence. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Safety Management, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Prior experience in aviation, ground handling, safety operations, or quality assurance is highly advantageous, as it provides a foundation for understanding the unique challenges and requirements of the industry.
• Technical Proficiency: A strong working knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques is essential to effectively execute your responsibilities.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring that no aspect of safety or quality oversight is overlooked, and that all operations adhere to the highest standards of excellence.
