Acoustic Engineer
الوصف الوظيفي
Position Overview
ACOUSTIEG, a pioneering force in acoustic treatment and sound isolation solutions since its establishment in 2018, is seeking a skilled and motivated Acoustic Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to transformative projects across diverse sectors, including healthcare, education, residential, and commercial environments. As an Acoustic Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and validating innovative acoustic solutions that enhance the quality of life for communities and optimize operational efficiency in built environments.
Key Responsibilities
The Acoustic Engineer will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of acoustic insulation and treatment systems within architectural and commercial projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architects, consultants, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) professionals, to seamlessly integrate acoustic solutions into project designs. Core duties include:
- Acoustic Design and Implementation: Provide technical expertise in the selection and application of acoustic materials such as mineral wool, mass-loaded vinyl (MLV), gypsum systems, and acoustic panels to meet project-specific requirements.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with architects, consultants, and MEP teams to ensure acoustic solutions are effectively integrated into project plans, adhering to design specifications and regulatory standards.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including acoustic reports, product specifications, and project records, to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Acoustic Testing and Validation: Assist in conducting acoustic measurements and assessments to evaluate the performance of installed systems, ensuring they meet industry standards such as STC (Sound Transmission Class), NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient), and RT60 (Reverberation Time).
- Innovation and Problem-Solving: Identify and recommend innovative acoustic solutions to address unique challenges in architectural and environmental acoustics, contributing to the continuous improvement of project outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Acoustical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience in architectural or environmental acoustics, with a proven track record in designing and implementing acoustic solutions for commercial or residential projects.
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of acoustic standards, including STC, NRC, and RT60, as well as familiarity with acoustic software and measurement tools. Experience with industry-specific software such as Odeon, EASE, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your candidacy for this role:
- Industry Experience: Prior involvement in Fit-Out or commercial projects, with a demonstrated ability to navigate the unique challenges of such environments.
- Portfolio and Reports: A portfolio showcasing acoustic design projects or sample acoustic reports that highlight your expertise and contributions to past initiatives.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in acoustics or related fields, such as those offered by the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) or the Acoustical Society of America (ASA).
