Pharmacist

The Pharmacist plays a pivotal role in ensuring superior quality medical treatment, compassion, and understanding for every patient at our healthcare facilities. This role involves a broad range of responsibilities, including:

• Prompt and accurate medication delivery to patients.
• Thorough review and processing of Physician’s Orders and patient medication profiles.
• Provision of drug information to healthcare professionals and patients for rational drug therapy.
• Orientation of new staff and participation in Pharmacy Students' training and counseling.
• Accurate prescription filling with detailed instructions, ensuring strength and dosage are within patient tolerance.
• Review of patient profiles for potential drug interactions, allergies, and diet restrictions.
• Daily preparation of medicines for inpatients based on the unit dose system.
• Calculation of doses for IV Admixtures, TPN, and Compounding Cytotoxic drugs according to written policies and procedures.
• Computerized charging, verification, and modification of inpatient medication.
• Provision of current and accurate drug information to healthcare professionals.
• Maintenance of patient information confidentiality and security.
• Estimation of monthly controlled drug requirements and stock levels.
• Participation in continuing education to stay updated on new pharmaceuticals, equipment, techniques, and antidote information.
• Compliance with hospital dress code and infection control procedures.
• Education of patients and families, involving them in the plan of care, and respecting their goals and choices.
• Performance of other applicable tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of B.S. Pharmacy Graduate.
• Licensed Pharmacist according to laws and regulations.
• Minimum of two (1-3) years of experience as a Pharmacist in a Pharmacy setting.
