HALA, a pioneering fintech player in the MENAP region, is seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our backend development team. Our mission is to empower SMEs by providing cutting-edge financial and technological tools, redefining financial services, and building the future bank for SMEs.

As our Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems. You will architect and implement microservices-based applications using .NET Core, and develop and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and third-party services.

• Work with a diverse range of databases, including SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis), to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices to protect our systems and data.
• Collaborate with DevOps to manage CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance optimization through event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message brokers.
• Mentor junior engineers, enforce best coding practices, and stay updated on emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in backend development, proficiency in .NET Core, and strong experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems. You should have deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, and a strong understanding of API security, authentication mechanisms, and performance tuning.
