Senior Logistics Manager - Giga Development Project

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Logistics Manager to lead and oversee logistics planning and delivery on one of the Kingdom’s most significant giga developments. This role is responsible for developing and implementing integrated logistics strategies that support the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of large-scale infrastructure and vertical construction programmes.

• Role Overview:
• Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Logistics Manager will provide strategic leadership across all aspects of construction logistics, including transport planning, site logistics, material movements, laydown areas, traffic management, workforce transportation, waste management, and stakeholder coordination. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities to ensure logistics operations are aligned with programme objectives and international best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logistics Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and implement comprehensive construction logistics strategies, plans, policies, and procedures for complex, multi-package programmes.
• Lead the planning and delivery of logistics solutions across multiple work fronts and construction zones.
• Establish and manage construction logistics plans (CLPs), traffic management plans (TMPs), and logistics execution frameworks.
• Develop logistics scopes of work, contract packaging strategies, budgets, and commercial documentation.
• Prepare logistics forecasts and demand estimates to support programme delivery requirements.
• Construction Logistics Management:
• Oversee all site logistics activities, including construction material movements, equipment and plant transportation, workforce transportation systems, waste management and recycling operations, laydown yards and storage facilities, and internal site traffic management.
• Lead the design and implementation of construction laydown areas and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure logistics operations support programme milestones and minimise disruption to adjacent works and stakeholders.
• Monitor logistics performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary logistics teams, including logistics managers, coordinators, analysts, and specialist consultants.
• Build high-performing teams and promote a collaborative, accountable, and safety-focused culture.
• Provide strategic guidance and support to project delivery teams and senior management.
• Coach and develop team members through mentoring, performance management, and knowledge sharing.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with project directors, delivery teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure logistics activities are fully integrated into programme delivery.
• Interface with government agencies, regulatory bodies, utility providers, and external stakeholders on logistics-related matters.
• Chair logistics coordination meetings and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
• Manage contractor logistics compliance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
• Governance, Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with local regulations, international standards, and project requirements.
• Champion health, safety, security, and environmental excellence across all logistics operations.
• Lead logistics-related incident investigations and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Establish and monitor logistics KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting mechanisms.
• Promote innovation and best practices to improve logistics efficiency, sustainability, and operational resilience.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualifications:
• Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Studies, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional membership of a recognised logistics or supply chain management institution is desirable.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in a senior logistics role, preferably within major infrastructure or mixed-use development projects.
• Demonstrable experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary logistics teams.
• Skills:
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in logistics software, planning tools, and data analysis platforms.
