About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Infrastructure Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure agents across diverse Linux and Windows environments, ensuring strict adherence to standardization and security compliance standards. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of our enterprise infrastructure, while aligning with industry-leading cybersecurity frameworks and ITIL best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Agent Management and System Administration: Oversee the lifecycle of infrastructure agents, including installation, configuration, patching, and hardening, while ensuring compliance with SAMA, NCA, PDPL, and NDMO cybersecurity and data protection requirements. Execute system administration tasks with precision to maintain optimal performance and security.
- Enterprise Tool Deployment: Deploy and manage a suite of enterprise tools, including monitoring agents, endpoint management solutions, backup agents, and security tools such as SIEM and EDR platforms. Ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency across all deployed solutions.
- ITIL Process Execution: Lead and support Infrastructure operations in alignment with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Maintain rigorous documentation standards, ensuring all activities are properly recorded, approved, and auditable.
- System Monitoring and Proactive Remediation: Utilize enterprise monitoring tools to track system health, performance, and availability. Proactively identify and address potential issues to minimize downtime and enhance operational reliability.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives, including testing, failover validation, and recovery execution. Ensure the organization is prepared to respond effectively to unforeseen disruptions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot complex issues, facilitate upgrades, and deploy critical infrastructure components. Serve as a liaison to ensure alignment and resolution across all stakeholders.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain comprehensive operational documentation, including configuration baselines, deployment procedures, and knowledge base articles. Ensure knowledge is accessible and up-to-date for all stakeholders.
- Root Cause Analysis and Preventive Measures: Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for infrastructure incidents and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks. Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure stability and security.
- Automation and Efficiency: Support automation initiatives using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve system reliability.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure secure configurations and adherence to baseline standards, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and access controls. Maintain a vigilant approach to cybersecurity to protect organizational assets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure administration or system administration within enterprise environments, with a preference for candidates with banking sector experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Linux and Windows OS, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Experience deploying and managing infrastructure agents such as monitoring, backup, patching, and endpoint security tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including SAMA Cybersecurity Framework, NCA ECC, PDPL, and NDMO standards. Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection requirements.
- ITIL Framework: Exposure to ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management, with a commitment to operational excellence.
- Disaster Recovery: Experience supporting Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity operations, including testing and execution.
- Vendor Management: Basic experience working with vendors and managing support cases to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Cloud and Virtualization: Knowledge of virtualization platforms, cloud environments, or enterprise infrastructure tools is a plus.
- Production Support: Proven experience in production support environments with defined SLAs and KPIs, demonstrating a results-driven approach to infrastructure management.
