Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for fostering a high-performance retail environment by ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills, product knowledge, and motivation to exceed sales targets. Your duties will include:

• Customer Service Leadership: Champion a customer-first culture by coaching and mentoring staff to deliver superior service, resolve customer inquiries promptly, and create memorable shopping experiences that drive loyalty and repeat business.
• Operational Excellence: Assist the Store Manager in executing store operations efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards. Take full ownership of store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, maintaining seamless business continuity.
• Sales and Performance Management: Monitor sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and implement strategies to maximize revenue. Stay abreast of market trends, new product launches, and competitive insights to provide informed recommendations to leadership.
• Staff Development and Scheduling: Oversee staff scheduling, manage leave requests, and address employee concerns to maintain a motivated and productive team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth.
• Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation: Ensure the store maintains impeccable visual merchandising standards in alignment with company guidelines. Regularly audit store displays, product placement, and overall presentation to enhance customer engagement and sales potential.
• Loyalty Program Promotion: Actively promote the company’s loyalty program to increase customer retention and repeat purchases. Train staff on program benefits and incentives to drive participation and engagement.
• Security and Compliance: Maintain a vigilant approach to store security, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and loss prevention measures. Address any security concerns proactively to safeguard assets and minimize risks.
• Product Knowledge and Brand Advocacy: Possess comprehensive product knowledge across all brands within the group to facilitate suggestive selling and enhance the customer experience. Stay updated on fashion trends, seasonal directives, and company initiatives to provide informed guidance to staff and customers.
• Administrative Oversight: Conduct regular audits of store administration, including inventory management, documentation, and compliance checks. Resolve operational issues promptly and escalate any concerns to the Store Manager or Area Manager as needed.
• Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and move throughout the store to support various tasks. Candidates must be physically fit and capable of performing these duties consistently.
