Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, we are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Officer to drive operational excellence, optimize procurement strategies, and contribute to our continued growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Officer at BanoPuratos, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless procurement of goods while maintaining cost efficiency and sustainability. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Support: Collaborate closely with the Procurement Manager to develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with organizational objectives, ensuring best value for money and sustainable cost reductions.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels meticulously, analyze inventory movements, and identify purchasing needs to prevent shortages or excesses. Prepare comprehensive stock analysis reports, incorporating feedback from Area Sales Managers, and submit them to the Procurement Manager in a timely manner.
• Procurement Coordination: Oversee the requisition process by reviewing proformas and quotations, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring all procurement-related documents are accurate and complete. Maintain precise records of purchase orders, including items, quantities, due dates, special instructions, and terms.
• Supplier Relations: Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of suppliers, ensuring strong communication channels for order updates, status inquiries, material specifications, and issue resolution. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Documentation and Compliance: Verify and process all customs documents and formalities to facilitate timely shipment clearance, avoiding demurrages and port shortage fees. Enroll shipments with necessary insurance to mitigate risks during transit. Ensure all special orders are properly documented and entered into the ERP system with customer approval.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate daily reports on the procurement cycle to ensure adherence to scheduling and delivery timelines. Provide customers with requested documents, such as Certificates of Analysis and Technical Data Sheets, to support transparency and compliance.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in stock management, goods purchasing, or a related field.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Arabic is essential to effectively communicate with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of procurement cycles, policies, and procedures, along with the ability to analyze data from multiple sources to generate accurate reports.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, coupled with strong planning and organizational abilities. The capacity to multitask, perform under pressure, and meet tight deadlines is critical. Analytical prowess is required to manage and interpret departmental data effectively.
