About UNICEF Pacific Islands
UNICEF’s Pacific Multi-Country Office (MCO) serves 14 Pacific island countries, including Kiribati, Fiji, and others, home to 2.3 million people—1.2 million of whom are children and youth. These nations, spread across 17.2 million square kilometers of the Pacific Ocean, face unique challenges such as geographic isolation, vulnerability to climate change, and constraints in service delivery. Our programmes in the region focus on critical areas including health, nutrition, education, child protection, climate resilience, and social policy, addressing the most pressing issues affecting small island developing states.
