Müller's Solutions is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Hospitality Auditor specializing in Hotels, with a strong background in both Hotel Operations and Information Technology. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in evaluating and optimizing operational processes and IT systems within the hospitality industry, with a primary focus on hotels. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving compliance, operational excellence, and robust risk management, ultimately contributing to the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. This position requires a unique blend of analytical prowess, technical acumen, and a deep understanding of hospitality dynamics to ensure seamless integration between operational efficiency and technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Hospitality Auditor, your core responsibilities will encompass a wide range of auditing activities designed to enhance the performance and security of hotel operations and IT infrastructure. Your duties will include:

• Operational Audits: Conduct thorough and systematic audits of hotel operations, including front desk services, housekeeping, food and beverage operations, and other guest-facing departments. Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain operational integrity and guest satisfaction.
• IT Audits: Perform comprehensive audits of hotel management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, network security protocols, data integrity measures, and compliance with IT governance frameworks. Assess the effectiveness of IT controls and identify vulnerabilities that may pose risks to operational continuity or data security.
• Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify operational inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and potential risks within hotel processes and IT systems. Develop and recommend actionable strategies to mitigate these risks, enhance internal controls, and improve overall operational resilience.
• Collaborative Improvement: Work closely with hotel management and IT teams to implement audit recommendations, foster a culture of compliance, and drive continuous improvement in processes and systems. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and guidance on best practices and regulatory adherence.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports, presentations, and executive summaries that clearly outline findings, corrective actions, and strategic recommendations. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, concise, and tailored to the needs of diverse stakeholders, from operational teams to senior management.
• Industry and Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements pertinent to hotel operations and IT systems. Ensure that audits and recommendations align with standards set by relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Tourism and the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
• Supporting Functions: Provide audit support for supporting functions such as Human Resources, Engineering, Maintenance, and Health & Safety, ensuring that all operational and IT-related processes are integrated and compliant with organizational policies.
• Capital Project Audits: Conduct audits of capital projects and IT application reviews, assessing financial controls, project management practices, and system integrations to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess a combination of educational qualifications, professional experience, and technical skills. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in auditing, hospitality, or IT will be considered a significant advantage.
• Professional Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in hospitality auditing, hotel operations, or IT auditing within the hotel industry. Prior exposure to capital project audits and IT application reviews is highly desirable.
• Technical Expertise: Exhibit a strong understanding of hotel operational processes, including front desk management, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and supporting functions. Possess in-depth knowledge of IT systems commonly used in hospitality, such as property management systems (PMS), POS systems, and network security protocols.
• Audit and Compliance Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in audit methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and compliance standards. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including those stipulated by the Ministry of Tourism and the Capital Market Authority (CMA), is essential.
• Analytical and Communication Abilities: Exhibit exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to dissect complex operational and IT-related issues. Possess strong organizational abilities and report-writing skills to convey findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Language Proficiency: Be a bilingual professional with fluency in both Arabic and English, with prior experience in the Hajj and Umrah sector being a distinct advantage.
• Certifications: Hold relevant certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Hospitality Auditor, or IT audit certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP) to demonstrate your commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.
