Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Assistant Manager - Motorsport Strategy to join our team at Qiddiya, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our motorsport portfolio. This position is designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about driving innovation in motorsport events, intellectual property (IP) partnerships, and operator appointments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to develop robust business cases, conduct strategic analyses, and ensure the successful delivery of motorsport assets aligned with Qiddiya’s long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following core duties:
- Strategic Development and Delivery: Support the strategic planning and execution of Qiddiya’s motorsport assets, including events, IP partnerships, and operator appointments, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
- Feasibility Studies and Business Cases: Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, business cases, and financial assessments for new motorsport initiatives, events, partnerships, and asset developments. This includes conducting market research, demand analysis, and financial modelling to inform decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead and coordinate multi-departmental projects involving Development, Asset Management, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and external consultants. Ensure that programme milestones are met through effective project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Operator Procurement: Support the procurement of operators by preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, governance papers, evaluation frameworks, and mobilisation programmes to ensure seamless onboarding and operational readiness.
- Event and Rights Holder Management: Assist in the planning and execution of international motorsport events, including operational readiness and commercial coordination. Maintain strong relationships with rights holders to ensure successful event delivery.
- IP Partnership and Commercial Initiatives: Support the management of strategic IP partnerships by monitoring contractual obligations, partner deliverables, and activation programmes to maximise commercial value and brand alignment.
- Strategic Reporting and Documentation: Prepare high-impact presentations, reports, business cases, and materials for the Executive Committee to facilitate informed strategic decision-making. Maintain accurate programme plans, action trackers, risk registers, and governance documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to foster collaboration and drive the successful execution of the Motorsport Strategy.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, motorsport, sports, entertainment, destination development, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven ability to conduct strategic analysis, develop business cases, and manage cross-functional projects with a results-driven approach.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience in financial modelling, feasibility studies, and budget management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement processes, contract management, or event coordination is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
