Project Controls Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Manager to join our dynamic team at Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of project controls, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving efficiency, mitigating risks, and optimizing project performance across multiple initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced tools and methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish realistic timelines, milestones, and deliverables that align with project objectives.
• Cost Management and Budgeting: Lead the preparation, monitoring, and control of project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and resource optimization. Analyze cost variances, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to prevent budget overruns.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential disruptions. Implement robust risk management frameworks and contingency plans to safeguard project outcomes and stakeholder interests.
• Performance Reporting: Generate accurate and timely project performance reports, including earned value management (EVM) metrics, progress updates, and variance analyses. Present findings to senior management and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations. Serve as a liaison between project teams and senior leadership to communicate progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to corporate policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations. Oversee compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards to maintain a secure and sustainable work environment.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance project controls processes, tools, and methodologies to drive operational excellence. Identify opportunities for automation, digital transformation, and best practices adoption to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or CCP) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project controls, with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects within the engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors. Experience in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is a strong advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of project controls software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP) and earned value management (EVM) principles. Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, ANSI, or PMI guidelines is essential.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including senior executives and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop data-driven solutions to address project challenges. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk assessment techniques.
• Cultural Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a multicultural and fast-paced work environment. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
