Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will play a central role in the project’s execution, with the following core responsibilities:

• Technical Oversight: Review and coordinate mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
• System Installation Supervision: Lead the supervision of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, water supply, and fire-fighting system installations, ensuring adherence to approved plans and quality benchmarks.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless communication and resolve technical challenges.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with design intent, local regulations, and safety protocols throughout the construction phase.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive progress reports, technical documentation, and as-built drawings to maintain transparency and accountability in project execution.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all mechanical works comply with local building codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations, mitigating risks and ensuring project legality.
• Testing and Commissioning: Support the testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction upon project completion.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in building construction projects, with a strong preference for residential developments, villas, or luxury properties.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting systems, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) integration, with a proven ability to apply this expertise in practical settings.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and design review, as well as MS Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Certification: Professional registration or certification in mechanical engineering is highly advantageous and demonstrates a commitment to industry best practices.
