Key Responsibilities

• Budget & Financial Oversight: Establish and maintain rigorous budget management processes, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting, to safeguard project profitability and organizational sustainability.
• Risk Management & Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identifying potential threats to project success and developing proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project resilience.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, project managers, and external stakeholders, providing clear, actionable insights through detailed performance reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
• Process Optimization: Champion the adoption of cutting-edge project control tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the organization’s project portfolio.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee the continuous evaluation of project performance metrics, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget while identifying opportunities for optimization and corrective action.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and infrastructure teams to establish standardized project control procedures, ensuring consistency and reliability in reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in project controls leadership, coupled with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions. The following qualifications and competencies are essential:

• Education: A Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as PMP, EVP, or similar are highly desirable.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project controls, project management, or related disciplines, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity overseeing large-scale, complex projects in industries such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, or energy.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of project control methodologies, including Earned Value Management (EVM), cost estimating, scheduling, and financial analysis. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret complex financial and operational data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and mitigate risks.
• Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Organizational Agility: Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the capacity to navigate dynamic, high-pressure environments while maintaining focus on long-term objectives.
• Risk & Compliance: A proactive approach to risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
