Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller (Seafood) to join our dynamic team at Almarai in Rabigh, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records of seafood products, ensuring optimal stock levels, and supporting seamless supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in inventory management systems, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control seafood stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring alignment with production and sales forecasts.
- Data Accuracy: Maintain precise records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and issuances, using advanced inventory management software.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of seafood products to verify freshness, compliance with safety standards, and adherence to company quality protocols.
- Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with procurement teams to reconcile discrepancies, resolve supply chain issues, and ensure timely deliveries of high-quality seafood.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend strategies for improving efficiency and reducing waste.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all inventory activities comply with local regulations, food safety standards, and Almarai’s internal policies to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to streamline operations and support cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in inventory control, preferably within the seafood or food manufacturing industry. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software. Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and RFID technology is advantageous.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy in inventory records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 kg, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
