Your Role as Assistant Manager
As the Assistant Manager at our South Boulevard location, you will play a pivotal role in driving store operations, leading the team, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Merchandise Management: Presort and process incoming inventory, including clothing, toys, and equipment, using our computer system to buy in and price items efficiently. Organize racks, tag and hang clothing, and test toys to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Customer Engagement: Assist customers with purchases at the register, educate them on our buy-sell-trade process, and provide a seamless shopping experience. Contribute to our social media presence by creating engaging posts that highlight our inventory and mission.
- Store Operations: Perform opening and closing tasks, including system shutdowns, nightly reports, and cash management. Manage inventory by transporting back stock bins to and from our storage unit using a company box truck.
- Team Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Store Manager to lead, motivate, and coach the team. Foster a positive work environment where team members feel supported and empowered to succeed.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Champion our commitment to sustainability by promoting upcycling, reducing waste, and educating customers on the environmental benefits of shopping secondhand.
