Role Overview

As a QSHE Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the enforcement of QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health & Environment) management systems across the region. Your responsibilities will include implementing QSHE strategies, standards, policies, and procedures to meet and exceed the expectations of consumers and customers alike. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify business risks and develop divisional QSHE strategies aimed at mitigating potential threats to the business.

Your duties will encompass conducting internal audits across all regional functions to evaluate compliance with QSHE management systems. This role requires a keen eye for identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards. Additionally, you will assist in incident investigations by performing root cause analyses and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence. Managing consumer and customer complaints, accident investigations, recalls, and addressing Municipality issues will also be integral to your responsibilities.

To foster a culture of continuous improvement, you will conduct regional technical training sessions for all functional staff, focusing on QSHE strategies, policies, and procedures. Your role will serve as a cornerstone in maintaining Almarai’s commitment to excellence and sustainability in all its operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with QSHE management systems to meet consumer and customer expectations.
• Assist in the implementation of QSHE strategies, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Identify business risks and develop divisional QSHE strategies to mitigate potential threats.
• Conduct internal audits across regional functions and recommend corrective actions for improvements.
• Assist in incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
• Manage consumer and customer complaints, accident investigations, recalls, and Municipality issues.
• Provide regional technical training on QSHE strategies, policies, and procedures to functional staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSS), or a related field.
• ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor certification from IRCA.
• NEBOSH Diploma or Occupational Health and Safety certification (CMIOSH).
• Proven experience in ISO/HACCP implementation within certified companies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Competencies in integrated management systems, QSHE processes, risk assessment, technical report writing, problem-solving, and root cause analysis.
