Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As an Investor Responsibility & Engagement Analyst, you will play a central role in shaping and executing our ESG strategy. Your responsibilities will include:

• ESG Integration: Conduct thorough research and analysis to assess the ESG performance of potential and existing investments, ensuring compliance with international frameworks such as the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and local regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and coordinate engagement initiatives with portfolio companies, investors, and other stakeholders to promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in ESG practices. This includes organizing meetings, drafting communication materials, and tracking progress on ESG commitments.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive ESG reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with best practices in sustainability reporting.
• Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of internal ESG policies, frameworks, and guidelines to strengthen our responsible investment approach. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ESG considerations into investment decision-making processes.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate ESG-related risks and opportunities in investment portfolios, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks and capitalize on sustainable growth opportunities. Stay abreast of emerging ESG trends, regulatory changes, and industry benchmarks.
• Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness about ESG principles and their importance in investment strategies. Foster a culture of responsibility and sustainability across the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CESGA, or PRI Academy) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in ESG analysis, sustainable finance, or corporate responsibility, preferably within the investment management or asset ownership sectors. Experience in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia, is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ESG data platforms (e.g., MSCI ESG Ratings, Sustainalytics, Bloomberg ESG), financial modeling tools, and sustainability reporting frameworks. Familiarity with local regulatory environments, such as the Capital Market Authority (CMA) guidelines, is advantageous.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to external partners.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
