Network & Security Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network & Security Manager to oversee the entire enterprise network infrastructure, including data and voice communications, as well as security systems. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, stability, and security of our network infrastructure while maintaining the continuity of related services. Additionally, you will manage assigned projects to drive innovation and operational excellence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in the following areas:

• Network Operations Management:
  • Plan, design, implement, and deploy enterprise-wide, secure, and scalable network and communication infrastructure in collaboration with the Head of Networks & Infrastructure.
  • Monitor enterprise-wide network and communication infrastructure to generate and analyze network statistics, ensuring operational continuity and safeguarding against vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure the availability and continuity of enterprise network operations through proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.
  • Provide expert technical support to network, systems, and security administrators to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including logical and physical configurations, to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Preventive Maintenance & Compliance:
  • Plan and execute periodic preventive maintenance activities to uphold the integrity of network infrastructure.
  • Ensure timely execution of routine and ad-hoc preventive maintenance in alignment with established standards and policies.
  • Oversee the effective lifecycle management of administrative profiles and patch management processes for relevant domains.
  • Coordinate and conduct periodic audits of network devices, appliances, and servers, including internal and external audits, to ensure compliance and security.
  • Manage and adhere to software and hardware license compliance requirements across all relevant domains.
  • Implement and enforce applicable policies, procedures, and the Information Systems Security Policy to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:
  • Develop, document, implement, and maintain a robust disaster recovery plan for enterprise network infrastructure to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Manage backup processes, including various backup modes for devices and appliances, and oversee restoration activities to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Lead restoration efforts in the event of a disaster, perform Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) for all relevant incidents, and deploy permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct periodic and planned drill tests for disaster recovery and business continuity, documenting results and implementing improvements as necessary.
• People, Project & Initiative Management:
  • Lead and supervise a team of Network Administrators, including work scheduling, prioritization, and performance monitoring, while providing technical guidance and support.
  • Assist the Head of Networks & Infrastructure in managing major projects and initiatives to drive strategic objectives and operational improvements.
  • Manage, mentor, and guide direct reports to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and organizational values, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Service Desk Support:
  • Review helpdesk system statistics to assess the performance of the ICT team and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor user complaints, problems, and errors, providing timely resolutions to assigned service desk tickets to enhance user satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in administering and managing enterprise network implementations.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Avaya are highly desirable.
• Certifications or coursework in Next-Generation security firewalls and CCSP will be considered a strong advantage.
• CISSP or CISM certification is preferred but not mandatory.
